Tree Pruning

Dead and damaged limb removal:

Removing dead branches or "deadwood" keeps trees looking their best year-round, and reduces the risk of them falling on their own. This also includes cleaning up trees damaged by storms or other incidents, or pruning out diseased sections. We often refer to this as "Crown Cleaning".

Structural Pruning:

A big part of our pruning recommendations include corrections for defects to prevent future problems. Examples include: co-dominant stems, poor and weak branch unions, crossing and rubbing limbs, and canopy raising. As we work to keep your trees healthy and functioning well in your landscape, we will also work to maximize its aesthetic value and beauty.

Building clearance:

Many trees are planted in places where they do not have enough space to grow to their mature size un-managed. We are practiced at managing clearance to buildings and utility wires, managing trees over roofs, and all the ins and outs of keeping trees healthy and safe in tight quarters.

Young Tree Pruning:

Young trees often require early pruning to promote good structure and form. Pruning trees early on is easier on the plants and far cheaper in the long run. Pruning early is the best way to stay ahead of problems and help guide your trees to stately maturity.

View/Vista pruning:

We are experienced in creating and maintaining sight-lines and views. This work is done in balance with tree biology and mechanics, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
