At Northern Arborists, our nature is in the care and love of trees. Even so, pests and diseases, decay or structural issues, and improper placement are a few reasons that sometimes make removal the best or only safe option.
Our team is experienced in climbing, rigging, and felling. We're talented with our ropes, including tricky removals in sites where access to equipment is limited or impossible.
Initial meeting and consult:
One of our team members will visit your property to assess options for removal, including any logistics for access or other concerns. We'll provide a quote and can include stump grinding if requested. Full cleanup is always included unless we discuss a plan otherwise.
We schedule many of our removals for the winter when the ground is frozen, and planting beds are dormant.
Careful removal:
By their nature, each tree and removal scenario is unique. We use various felling and modern rigging techniques, as well as decades of collective experience, to safely and efficiently remove trees. As we're all skilled rope and saddle climbers, we're able to access sites where portable lifts and bucket trucks are not. In some cases where heavier equipment is more efficient, we'll provide referrals to quality local companies we've worked with over the years. We are fully licensed and insured.
Wood disposal practices:
We are proud to say that most of our wood chips are delivered and used locally at Krueger's Christmas Tree Farm in Lake Elmo. They're usually composted for a few years before being spread as nutrient-rich mulch. We also provide dump loads of wood chips to our clients if requested.
Our removal expert Doug also owns and operates a bandsaw mill during his free time. We are one of just a few tree services able to utilize suitable saw logs for the local production of beautiful wood slabs and dimensional lumber.
Stump Grinding:
Stump grinding, removal of surface roots, and full cleanup are provided if necessary.
